Skill development in AI driven Generative Engineering and Design Automation
This potential is to be exploited and put into practice as part of the AIGEDA project funded by EIT Manufacturing in cooperation between the Digital Engineering Chair at Ruhr University Bochum, the Research Unit of Mechanical Engineering Informatics and Virtual Product Development at TU Vienna, Department of Management and Production Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Academy of the Ruhr-University and industry partners Böllhoff Group and Elettrotecnica Rold srl. The aim of the project is to create a comprehensive skill development programme targeted at industrial professionals teaching necessary skills (methodology and tools) with respect to generative engineering, design automation, structural and topology optimization, and knowledge based engineering. Subsequently, the concept is validated by workshops from the industry partners.
